Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete the data associated with Willow: Gentle Habits (com.kodmap.willow), a mobile application by kodmap. It is the deletion request route referenced by our Privacy Policy and by the Google Play Data safety form.

Willow has no account and no server. There is nothing of yours on our side to delete — the Android build does not even request the INTERNET permission, so the app has no way to send your habits anywhere. Everything below therefore happens on your own device, immediately, without asking us.

1. Delete individual records

Your habits, daily check-offs, skipped days, amounts, notes, moods, reminders and settings live only on your device.

  • Delete one day's entry — long-press a habit on Today → Clear this day.
  • Delete a habit and its whole history — open the habit → the bin icon in the header → confirm. This removes every entry recorded against it.
  • Archive instead of deleting — the box icon on the same header keeps the history but takes the habit out of your daily list.

2. Delete everything at once

Uninstall Willow. That removes the entire local database, your settings, your app-lock PIN and the widget's copy of today's list. It cannot be undone.

If you want to keep a copy first, export one from Profile → Your data → Export backup (JSON) or Export as CSV. The export is handed to your device's share sheet, so where it lands is your choice. A backup you have saved yourself — to Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or email — stays under your control and is not affected by uninstalling.

3. Subscriptions

Deleting your data does not cancel a Willow Pro subscription, because subscriptions are held by the store, not by us. Cancel in your App Store account (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play account (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions), and request refunds through the store's own policy.
